Benefits
- A warm bowl that holds you until lunch.
- Milk makes the oats softer than water alone.
- Banana and honey are the sweet. The pot itself is not sugared.
Ingredients
Original recipe (1X) yields 2 servings
Directions
- Put the oats, milk, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan.
- Bring it to a simmer over medium heat, then stir for 5 minutes until the oats are soft and the liquid is mostly gone.
- Divide it between two bowls. Lay the banana on top and drizzle the honey.
Tips
- Keep the simmer low once it starts, or the milk forms a skin.
- Stir near the end so the bottom does not catch.

I kept the heat low after it started bubbling. High heat made a skin on the milk.
