Iced Lemon Tea
Black tea cooled down, then lemon and honey, poured over a full glass of ice.
Jump to Benefits · Jump to Nutrition Facts
Benefits
- Cold, lemony, and light enough for a second glass.
- Honey dissolves in the warm tea, so the ice does not leave a sweet sludge.
- One pot makes two glasses.
Ingredients
Original recipe (1X) yields 2 servings
Directions
- Boil the water, take it off the heat, and add the tea bags.
- Steep 4 minutes. Longer than that and the ice will not save the bitterness.
- Lift the bags out. Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm, then the lemon juice.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then pour it over ice. The yield is two glasses.
Tips
- Steep four minutes, not ten. Long tea turns bitter once it is iced.
- Cool the tea a little before it hits the ice, or the glass waters down.

I chill the tea in a jar first. Pouring hot tea on ice watered it down.
